Pool Closing Services | $200 + Chemicals

What's Included:
Remove ladder and rails
Remove diverters and skimmer baskets
Air line blowout and winterization
Install winter plugs
Disassemble pump/filter equipment

To ensure a smooth and efficient pool closing, please review the following steps to prepare before our service team arrives:
Pool Area Access:
Make sure the pool area is accessible. If access is blocked, rescheduling may be required.
Clear Obstructions:
Trim overgrown bushes, shrubs, weeds, or other landscaping that may block access or interfere with the closing process.
Ensure the pool cover is accessible and not obstructed by stored items.
Power to the Pump:
If power to the pool pump cannot be controlled from the equipment area, turn it off before our arrival.
Remove Items from the Pool:
Take out all pool toys, floats, and cleaners. The pool must be empty and ready for closing.

Removing timer pins and turning off poolside breakers.
Removing return jet fittings and skimmer baskets.
Winterizing plumbing lines by blowing out and sealing them with plugs and skimmer tubes (e.g., Gizzmos).
Removing handrails and ladders.
Draining and removing plugs from equipment components (filter, pump, chemical feeder, heater). These plugs are typically stored in the pump housing basket for the winter.
Installing the safety pool cover.
Optional Add-On Services (Additional Fees Apply):
Adding winterizing chemicals, such as chlorine shock and winter algaecide.

Pool cleaning or vacuuming.
Diving board removal.
Filter backwashing.
Debris removal.
Please Note:
Pool cleanings and vacuuming are NOT included in our Pool Closing Service and are not offered at this time.Additionally, plastic return fittings, pump & filter plugs degrade over time and can be damaged due to their age when removed. Swimming Pool Brian is not responsible for replacements that may be necessary due to the integrity of these fittings.

All necessary materials for the closing (e.g., safety cover, plugs, antifreeze jugs) must be poolside before our technicians arrive
The safety cover storage bag and skimmer baskets will be left poolside for you to store for the winter.

To ensure the best possible experience, please review the following preparation steps before our service team arrives:
Pool Area Access:
Ensure the pool area is accessible. If we are unable to access the pool, rescheduling may be necessary.
Water Level:
Fill the pool to the normal operating level (mid-skimmer) before our team arrives.
Clear Obstructions:
Trim overgrown bushes, shrubs, weeds, or any other landscaping that may block access to the pool or equipment.
Make sure the pool cover is free of debris and standing water. Our technicians will not remove debris or water from the cover. Leaving debris on the cover may cause it to fall into the pool during removal.
Power Access:
Ensure that power to the pool pump is accessible and controllable from outside the house so technicians can operate the pump as needed.

Removing, folding, and storing the pool cover in a cover bag (if provided). The cover will be left poolside to drain; you can store it later in your shed or garage.
Removing all winterization plugs and gizmos (e.g., skimmer blowout tubes).
Installing directional return fittings, ladders, handrails, skimmer baskets, gauges, and other accessories.
Prepping and reassembling the filter system
Starting up the system and inspecting for leaks.
Starting and testing the pool heater ignition (if applicable).

Water Testing: Within 24 hours after service, test the water at a reputable pool store to ensure proper chemical balance.
Winterization Items: All removed winterization items will be left poolside for you to store for the summer.
Pool Cleaning: Cleaning and vacuuming the pool are not included in the opening service and must be handled by the homeowner.
